COVID-19 has taken a major toll on the economy worldwide and has subsequently affected every industry and business leading to a major slowdown in the market. However, as per recent observations, social media platforms are playing a key role in spreading various campaigns and movements globally, mirroring us the silver lining of this global pandemic. As each one of us is locked inside our homes, this is the most favourable time for social media managers to utilize the virtual world at it’s fullest and explore various possibilities around them amidst lockdown. Social media managers of various companies ranging from small scale industries to large scale industries can use their mass media platform to highlight the challenges faced by humanity worldwide and also add them in their marketing agenda by analysing every aspect of the situation and capitalize on it.

In such testing times, many companies have opted for digital marketing to fabricate, merchandise, and sell their products to all their target audience on a larger scale.  Marketing over the internet has proven to be a big success, especially during the lockdown. During the COVID-19 pandemic, not only did the establishments focus on promoting their products, but they also helped in propagating the cause behind them. Many companies and artists stepped up to help NGOs and other non-profit organisations to raise funds for the underprivileged.
